The 2nd
I was tired from racing and traveling the last few months. The racing was not going so well, I needed to do some rethinking. After talking with my Todd and Geoff I decided not to race the last two races of the camp. I've had about 4 days off now I'll do an easy ride tomorrow before racing on Sunday the 4th we have some good start money for this race.
After Sunday it's two weeks tell our next big race the Roubaix world cup, then two weeks tell worlds. I'll get some good training and racing before worlds!
">Snow showers next week.

Check me out...
Cold weather..
OK everyone this is a long over due.
This past week has been some tough racing!!! I've been trying to find my lags.
All the races this year of camp have been fast and cold, The first couple of race where local low key races they went OK lasted about half the race it was tough, it was nice to get the first call up all the guys are looking around like who is this guy it was great.
The next race was the Zolder world cup about 1hr 45min from the house it was COLD the course was hard with frozen sand and some crazy descents. The race is at a F1 track so the start is down the start straight with some hard right then left turns, the first time past the pits some guy was trying to go back on the course and get to the pit the whole time blocking the course with his bike not letting any one else by it was great 20 guys pushing this guy trying to get him to move it was great fun!!! The rest of the course was fast with some hard up and down sand hills in the sun so they ended up being nice and soft. The race was not going my way I was having a great time on the technical stuff but just kept getting past, I eventually got pulled with 4 to go.
Diegem was the next race of the week its a small town just outside of brussels the race goes all over this small town. It was cold about 30 degrees the ground was frozen with ice starting to show in turns. This race the past 2years has been the same with call-up I'm about 67th in the uci world ranking and I'm last guy for call up on the officials start list I was giving him a hard time I was like come on I'm last??? He said this is the list they gave me I tell I'm 67th in the world and I start last.... Great thanks. So there I'm just sitting on the back of the field the race starts people start to crash on both sides of the course everyone is riding like crazy passing and crashing allover. The first 2 laps are so fast I was just trying to get past guys and make some headway. Just before the finish I broke my pedal well more like the spindle snapped and I went over the bars slamming straight to a course post, before I hit the ground I new what had happen. As I was laying on the ground I look my right shoe and unclipped my pedal I was holding it in my hand everyone that was watching looked surprise. The bad part about it was not slamming into the ground shoulder first but my bike was in the upper pit so it was about a 10min walk if I wanted to get to a new bike, my race was over.
My shoulder is hurting today, I got some new peddles for Eric..
The SUN is out and it is cold....
